Doris Secures Spot in Ireland Selection While Joe McCarthy Omitted
Returning head coach the Ireland coach has included captain Caelan Doris in his Irish roster for the autumn internationals, however lock McCarthy misses out.
The captain, absent from play since having shoulder surgery in early May, recently returned to provincial training, though his fitness is uncertain whether he will be ready to face New Zealand in the US on 1 November.

Following playing the New Zealand at Soldier Field in a rematch of their 2016 meeting, Ireland host the Brave Blossoms, Australia and world champions South Africa in the Irish capital.

Ciaran Frawley is the third number 10 selected as Farrell deciding not to selecting Leinster's Harry Byrne.
At number 9, Farrell has selected Lions tourist Gibson-Park and Casey, who captained Ireland to the summer Test wins over the Lelos and the Lobos. Additionally, there is a return for the western province's Caolin Blade, chosen to teammate Murphy.
Henshaw, Aki, Ringrose and McCloskey represent an veteran group of midfield choices. Osborne is another option in the centres, but the 23-year-old is additionally a leading candidate to deputise for the full-back at full-back.
Wingers Lowe, Mack Hansen, Tommy O'Brien and Jacob Stockdale are named. O'Brien impressed on his national team debut during the summer with two tries apiece in the wins over Georgia and Portugal.
Paddy McCarthy is the sole fresh name in the Irish pack. The front rower has been in a couple of Leinster's three United Rugby Championship matches so far and featured in the second string's defeat by the English in the English city previously.
The 22-year-old was included in caretaker coach O'Connell's summer selection, but did not earn a cap.
Munster second row Thomas Ahern, who earned his debut appearances in those Tests, is kept in the squad, and experienced Ulster second row Iain Henderson is back after missing the summer matches.
Jack Conan, who played in each of the Lions matches over the summer, is poised to deputise for Doris should the skipper does not regain full fitness soon enough to play New Zealand.
The national team will assemble in the capital on Monday before traveling to the US on the following day.
