Former Red Bull chief Christian Horner is allegedly "ringing up pretty much every team owner" as he seeks a comeback to Formula 1, as stated by Aston Martin F1 top executive Andy Cowell.

Aston Martin is among the teams that are associated with the former chief.

Cowell mentioned he had checked the situation with team owner Lawrence Stroll this past Friday at the Singapore Grand Prix.

"It seems like Christian is getting in touch with most team bosses at the moment," commented the executive.

"I can unequivocally confirm there are no plans for the involvement of Christian in an management or financial position in the future."

Other Teams Comment

The American team boss Ayao Komatsu revealed that the former Red Bull leader had "contacted" the US-based team but added: "No progress has been made. It is finished."

The Renault-owned team managing director Steve Nielsen mentioned the team's executive adviser and acting leader Flavio Briatore was "longtime companions" with the former principal.

The Alpine director continued: "I'm unaware what they talk about. What I understand is there are no plans for Christian to join Alpine but this doesn't imply it might not transpire."

The Grove-based squad chief James Vowles confirmed that the former Red Bull leader had not approached them.

"We're very happy with the structure we have and it's effective," Vowles said. "There's no cause to alter this."

Background Context

The ex-Red Bull chief is eligible to rejoin F1 by the middle of next year after completing a separation agreement with the energy drink company on 22 September.

The veteran motorsport figure was fired as Red Bull's chief after the British Grand Prix in July.

Various insiders at the racing team have revealed the financial arrangement was worth 60m euros (£52 million).
