Helicopter Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Shoreline
An aircraft hovering over a well-attended coastal shoreline suddenly began spiraling out of control, finally losing altitude and smashing into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Videos posted online capture the chopper beginning to twirl over the beach then descending in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck among palms and a steps near the Pacific Coast highway.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the incident on Saturday.
Three people on the road were harmed. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
